The UT Southwestern Medical Center Lyda Hill Department of Bioinformatics, together with community partners NCBI and Mark III Systems, will host a biomedical hackathon in Dallas. Focused on computational solutions for clinical medicine and genomics, this event is for developers, engineers and researchers at all career levels. We also welcome clinical and biomedical experts and other non-scientific developers, mathematicians or librarians to apply.
The Lyda Hill Department of Bioinformatics was founded in 2015 as a computer science department embedded in one of the world's premier academic medical centers. The Department is home to a hybrid faculty of both computational and biomedical scientists, a graduate program in Computational & Systems Biology, and the BioHPC, which is one of the State's largest academic supercomputers.
